“My Dream: Times Square” is a compendium selected from 75 interviews conducted in Times Square on July 27 and August 3 by THE DREAM@50, as part of a joint promotion with American Eagle Outfitters. Each participant was asked three questions: What is your dream for a better world? What is wrong with the world today? What is it going to take for your dream to come true? What an amazing experience to interview, and get to know (if only superficially), such a cross section of the world! And though it shouldn’t have been a surprise, we were blown away by the eloquence, thoughtfulness, and good sense of so many “ordinary” pedestrians. As you will see from the video, some common themes emerged that prove the point made at the end of the video: that we really are connected and more alike, regardless of race, ethnicity, or culture, than we may think. Special thanks to our cameramen—Roger Lanoue Jr. and Marsin Digital—and to our dedicated volunteers—Rev. Georgiette Morgan-Thomas, Julie Meridy, Linda Rabiet, and Angela Wright.
